Segars Engineering provides professional engineering services for land planning and development, building design, structural analysis and site design. Located in Waynesboro, Virginia, the firm emphasizes corporately seeing the problem and optional solutions before attempting to solve them unilaterally.

Mission Statement

To solve and facilitate the solving of engineering problems in the industrial, commercial, organizational and residential development sector. Our area of operations includes Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro as well as Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.

Project Examples

Large Scale – We provide the necessary up front planning (including planning sessions) and coordination for large-scale residential, commercial, industrial or organizational capital projects. This includes conceptual plans, rezoning application packages and meetings, Traffic Studies, Master Plans, Preliminary Plats and/or Plans of Development. (This can be followed by management of surveying, detailed engineering and construction).

Medium Scale – We provide consulting engineering for commercial (including Architects), industrial or organizational clients for mid-level facilities expansion. This may include the structural aspects of a production line, room or equipment installation or expansion, foundations, drawings and structural modifications where Architectural design is not at the forefront. Or, when the Architect is the client, we can provide structural design for single and multistory facilities.

Small Scale – We provide smaller scale engineering consulting and design services to Architects, Contractors, Brokers, Adjusters and private property Owners who are looking for an Engineer’s opinion, schematic or design for a small civil (drainage) or structural job, such as an elevator shaft. We have specific experience with these as well as foundation certifications, forensic engineering and structural inspections.
